The Colonial motif is supposed usually meant to inspire patriotism, but to mix that with the tune "Oh Susanna" (from one hundred years later) is just plain bizzare.

The state of Virginia also has a lot of civil war stuff. Battlefields are a big tourist attraction. Maybe the Oh Susannah song ties in with that? Maybe the client wanted ALL the ideas that the agency came up with--all in the same ad!
